Its been long since I actually spent my office hours leisurely without much work pressure. So thought why not pen down my views about software testing.......
For me its kind of funny to say that i am known as a software tester though i am not intrested in this field except for few challenging tasks............But Anyways there are always pros and cons associated with each item existing on this earth....
so let me tell you my overall experience and view as a software test engineer:)

It has been more than 2yrs working here with this company...basically recognized and appreciated for my skill to find defects:)........Actually its fun sometimes...u find bug giving all the tension to developers just pack ur bag and say dude get this fixed by tommorow i will come and test...It sounds exciting isnt it....And i agree it is fun at times...

Working in software industry has made me realize that people most often take testing just for granted inspite of the fact it is the most important phase of software development life cycle..Just think code which is not usable...what purpose will it serve..its as good as some junk thrown in dustbin.....still many people dont seem to concentrate on it...I remeber working on one project where the client didnt prefer tester..they told their unit testing would take care of it...but later on in the project, due to fixed deadline unit testing was never done at all:)

I think tester should be proud enough of the work they do because it is the tester who certifies whether the application is ready for delivery or not...Thinking from customer perspectives is not an easy job.

So hats off to all the testers..go ahead and catch the bugs;)
